I miss my wifi

When I returned from Nantucket my cable and Internet was not working. This was on Sunday. Long story.

All I have is my Internet on my phone so that is why all my posts have been short. I will come back and write in more detail.

I miss my Internet more then my cable.

Our bike tour ended at the Cisco brewery.

I was telling our guide Jason about one of my favorite tv shows called “Three Sheets”. It’s a fun and educational travel and drinking show.

Egg, balls, basket??

 

I know I am not the smartest person and sometimes I make a fool of myself. We were walking around town and I see this basket of balls on the table. I turn to my friend and ask what is that saying “don’t put all your balls in one basket” and I got this look like oh Jen, the saying is “don’t but all your eggs in one basket” HA HA silly me!

So I thought I would share with you the basket of balls

This morning my brother and I headed to Nantucket. The weather in Boston was very raw, chilly & foggy rolled into one. We wondered if the ferry from Hyannis to the island would be choppy. We arrived in Hyannis a little earlier then expected so we drove around and found a cheaper parking lot to park the car for the weekend. We decided to take the fast ferry to the island. It was a little expensive but I feel that it was worth the extra cost to get to Nantucket in 1 hour.

We arrived in Nantucket in no time at all. Our friends Amy and Mark met us at the ferry. We had enough time to grab a quick bite to eat and then head to our bike tour.

I am heading to Nantucket for the weekend.

Sleepy protest

 I was getting ready to pack and was checking my emails and Pugsley decided to hop up on my lap and fall asleep. He usually just sits next to me as I type. But that night he decided to get a little more comfortable and lay back as I was typing. He loves being the center of attention.

Coal hole…

I was walking to my friends house tonight and I noticed what I thought was a sewer cover of some sort. I have a random obsession with sewer covers. I Googled it when I got home tonight and I guess it’s a Coal hole. From the link I found this could be from 1845. It looks like it is missing most of the glass that they would use to look down and see if the coal was still burning.

Attn: Hookers go to the right

Growing up I always here the story about General Hookers girls. I was near the State House tonight and walked by this sign.

Size does matter…

After tropical storm Irene came rolling through, I went for a walk around my neighborhood. I noticed these vegetables hanging from one of my neighbors house. I was amazed! I went to work the next day and asked my friend at work what kind of vegetable was it. My friend at work is Asian and we are good friends. I joke calling her my resident Asian. So whenever I have a question about the Asian culture she will explain and teach me about her culture.

She told me the name of it but I forget, she loved the taste of them. My friend joked asking me if I could steal one and bring it into work. I said no way , I feared the women would come running out and yell at me. She said if I looked closer I would have noticed the that it would be fuzzy.

 This vegetable reminds me of an episode of Gillian’s Island. On one of the episodes they found some radio active seeds and they grew some HUGE vegetables. I’ll try to find a link.
